WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

This webinar, the second in the 2-part Unified Registration System (URS) Training Series, will provide a system demonstration of the URS. The purpose of this webinar is to present:

A brief overview of the URS regulation requirements as part of the planned phased implementation;

An introduction and step-by-step overview of the new online registration process; and

A general question-and-answer session for participants.

The URS is the electronic online registration system that streamlines and simplifies FMCSA’s registration process and serves as a clearinghouse and depository of information on all entities regulated by the Agency.  The URS replaces the registration function of multiple FMCSA legacy information systems, including the Licensing and Insurance (L&I) system and the registration function of the Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS). URS also replaces various forms that carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers currently use to register and update their information with a single, online registration process.

The webinar will be delivered 5 times in December:

  • Tuesday, December 1, 2015
    10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Thursday, December 3, 2015
    10 a.m. Eastern Time
  • Tuesday, December 15, 2015
    10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern Time
  • ADDITIONAL AFTERNOON SESSION:
    Friday, December 18, 2015
